"complete nonsense because I never compared the two. I only discussed how one dealt with aging as a way to lead into how I felt about the way Verse dealt with it."

sounds like a comparison to me. no need to be so defensive tho

Just defending my point.

But where do you see me comparing the two? Like I said, I hadn't even mentioned Verse, and I brought them up solely for the purpose of exemplifying different ways in which bands deal with aging-- not comparing the two bands quality-wise. I'm not sure where you see me comparing the two, but oh well.

" Sorry, but what's your point? I'm pretty sure it's not the one you're trying to make. "

I'm sure they don't realize the point they're trying to make is completely wrong.

I've only checked out like one song from this and I wasn't really a fan. Maybe I'll look into it more.

"...offerings like Defeater’s Empty Days And Sleepless Nights that strangle itself with over-dramatic, overwrought themes and pisspoor ability to execute them."

Clearly you don't attack Defeater on Sputnik.

"Defeater is a melodic hardcore band from Massachusetts, USA. They are part of "The Wave"—a newly developed regional scene of post-hardcore
music, of which includes La Dispute (band),Make Do and Mend, Touche Amore, and Pianos Become the Teeth."

I've never listened to Defeater, but based upon this description I'm staying the fuck away. Also nice review carouse and it's a shame you didn't get the contrib position. You deserve it.

Graveyard, I would actually suggest you listen to Travels and maybe Lost Ground. Travels is definitely one of my favorite hardcore albums. ED&SN isn't even worth mentioning.

@Graveyard

No one in the 'Wave' sound the same, they're just a group of friends. No reason not to listen to them
