Something I've been wondering is would critical reception to this album been so positive if he hadnt come out of the closet? had he not come out before this was released, the lyrics on here still would have outed him. he certainly picked a strategic time to release a statement, but in the end if the album was a flop it would have been received that way. from the two listens i've given this, it lacks consistency somewhat but overall really enjoyable, considering i came into it with no expectations at all.

I came into it expecting more of the same kicking tunes as on nostalgia, ultra, but this far surpassed it with it's depth and his improved vocals. The whole 'coming out of the closet' thing added a little meaning to some of the lines, especially on Bad Religion, so it was pretty strategic for him to do so.

Album is soooooooooooooo fucktastic. Jesus Christ. And to Everyone who doesn't like pink matter, it's a grower for sure but I've been listening to it all morning it's fucking the truth. Same with Sierra leone, only less dramatic.
I may even write a review so The universe can appreciate how gay I am for this album. It's not bad!
