lol I didn't listen to the last minute of the song, and of course its all a solo by Petrucci, and a rather good one at that. I was originally referring to the short one in the middle of the song. Just ate my own words.

nah. the singer sings too many notes and very few of the vocal lines are memorable to my ears.

i actually kinda dug some of the melodic vocals on P1, this not so much.

haha!

yeah, i mean it's one of the better solo's on the album imo, behind that epic solo in "mile Zero" by Wes Hauch of course.

and the thing is, you can tell he's a good singer. its just when he does that rody walker-esque bluesy, notey shit that its just cringe-worthy. on songs like ragnarok he nails it tbh

spencers technically a great singer but he sounds a little too poppy for a prog metal band. and yea i think his melodies were much more fitting on p1

Spencer sings pretty well, i actually like his singing way better on P2.

Lol Periphery is hardly a progressive metal band. I think the vocals fit pretty well in their sound tbh

Yeah they were more prog in P1. Still it is now, i believe, that Spencer fits just right to Periphery, and vice versa. Im hoping for another djent/technical metalcore beast with Juggernaut.
