Killerhit, you're engaging in a rather fruitless argument on a Periphery comment thread. You say you don't care about their obscure place in history, yet your apparently criticism of them contradicts that statement. Just saying...

Johnnydeking, the Djent scene has been characterised by the DIY ethic. Almost all these bands started off as bedroom projects with guys using Macs and LogicPro to record songs and post it online. Those tools are available to practically everyone. Don't tell me that bands like Chimp Spanner, Hydrodjent/Skyharbor et al. have become heavyweights because of "hard cash" because that's just not true.

"Can't be Artorias coz he's the only character in the game with an obvious storyline, can't be Tarkus coz he does shit all. It could be Beatrice though"

that'd be cool

tho what about brolaire

I won't, I'll deny their existence on the musical radar outside of djent.

Uh, you're kind of doing the same thing, Sitar. And I don't care about their place in history; I care about what music they do, and that music's shit.

Your persistence at this borders on the profoundly fanatical...

Thanks man (just to clarify, you mean the fake Periphery EP? Storm Daughter = serious, Ornstein's Puppy = nonserious)

@Killerhit: Of course you're entitled to your opinion. I apologise for the snarkiness of my remarks.

Apologizing is for the weak, but I suppose that's the best tactical choice in your case.

People seem to forget that Periphery was formed through the internet.

The band knows about all their hate and laugh it off. They do what they want and I respect a lot for it.

They could easily kick Sponce out and go instrumental and follow everything Misha says and people would love it but that isn't what they want.

Also Sponce's girl is smokin'!
