Who gives a shit if this sounds like "the agalloch you know"? Okay fine, you wanted it to sound one way and it didn't, now judge it based on how it actually sounded and not how you wanted it to sound.
Not to specifically target you, but all 8 pages here seemed to be focused on that - yeah this is more straight up BM but it fucking rules so who cares?

im going to see these dudes early august, I'd actually be stoked if they played this - no good metal artists ever come here so getting the heavier side of things would be sick.
It's in a tiny little dive bar-type place though... seems like it'll be weird to hear their more epic tracks played out in that setting but I can't wait.

Seriously though what's up with this?
The riffing that starts at 6:43 is fucking incredible, some of the best that the group has ever done, but at 6:46 it cuts out in a way that's pretty damn distracting to me because of how shortly it comes after that change into the sick riffing. I kind of agree that it's not too distracting overall, but I'm mostly just curious about what caused it in the first place.
