You could...but his point was that you could look at the Grey as a 'deviation' or Agalloch 'abandoning their roots', but it was just a reasonably cool experiment. There is no indication that this EP will have any significant effect on the sound of their next full length effort.

it is a step away from their atmospheric folky whatever it is into more straightforward black metal aesthetic, which was what marrow did just not quite as dramatic as this
