I used to agree, but the others eventually grew on me a lot, along with their entire other discography

I need to get this. I have Above The Weeping World and that album is insanely good. If this is similar to that then im definitely going to get it.

I've been switch-listening to this and Weeping World constantly for the past few days, I can't get enough of these guys. They're like Opeth+Dark Tranquility+Ecstasy (as in the drug) lol.

Lol yeah they're really good. They're definitely one of the best Melodeath bands around.

Yes sir. One of the big reasons I personally like them so much is because they manage to alternate between the fast and heavy and the slow and soft nearly or possibly just as well as Opeth, but do it in far less time, so they don't fall prey to the meandering boringness that Opeth pulls sometimes.

I agree. Opeth is one of my favorite bands, but sometimes they just get a little bit to boring. If Opeth's songs averaged like 6 or 7 minutes instead of 10 or 11 they would be better IMO.

Insomnium does have some cool catchy soft breaks, but I feel that Opeth has a lot more lasting value. Insomnium can feel a little samey.

Agghhhh, get out of my head! lol

I can't decide which album I like more, this or Weeping World. I wanna say the later, but I've been listening to the former more lately.

It's like deciding between sex with a hot girl and...sex with a hot girl...

And I do agree that Opeth's stronger tracks own these guys. But these guys don't have any weak tracks. Opeth has lots, though that's just my opinion of course. This Message Edited On 03.29.08

My favorite band at the moment. Best melodic death band in existence. Disengagement is too fucking awesome for its own good.

Yeah, this band kicks major ass, but I do prefer Above the Weeping World over everything else of theirs. So far...

I never really got into this band as much as others seem to have. They're.. too melodic for me perhaps? I dun know but The Killjoy is an awesome song.
