Not liking the record, but that's some sexy album art

I have two of their CDs. 'The Inevitability of a Strange World' and 'A Writer's Reference' EP. The EP is decent (it's the first thing they ever released), "Sydney" and "Broken Glass Syndrome" are great songs.

I love 'The Inevitability of a Strange World.' There are a lot of good tracks. My favorites are "Promise Me Tragedy," "A Tint of Rain," "Anthem for Tonight" and "Nightmare." They aren't as technical as these guys when it comes to the guitars, but they are still solid. The vocalist left after 'Inevitability' and their new EP with a different vocalist wasn't as good.

That song is so weird. It completely changes gears after the first minute and never goes back.

Yeah, it has an interesting flow to it. The lyrics are slightly creepy though, lol. If I had to pick an absolute favorite, I would say "Promise Me Tragedy" or "Tint of Rain." They still give me the occasional chill when I hear them, even after all this time.

Have you heard their first album? For the longest time I thought 'Inevitability' was their only LP until I looked at their discography on here.

I just searched it on Yahoo. I guess it's out of print.

Never mind, I guess 'A Writer's Reference' came out after this did. Here's a song from it.

Had to knock rating down from a 4.5, there's a big rut in the album from Conversations with Dirt to Frog In a Well that just doesn't work for me.

but the title cut is a SOTY candidate for sure

Been watching their drum videos on their facebook/Youtube page. The drummer does some pretty cool stuff, I never really noticed until I saw it.

The vocals and guitar stand out over everything for me when I listen to this. Kind of forgot about the other instruments, but I won't be doing that anymore.
