Hoooollllyyy crap so I was talking to this dude at a show yesterday and he gave me a wristband for a band of his friend's. I didn't think anything of it, I thought they were probably a crappy local band. So I go on Sputnik today and lo and behold, the band, Icarus the Owl, is featured on the front page.

steveconygre - thanks a ton for the kind words, man. :] that's the reason I review.

jdennis31 - glad to hear you like it as much as you do. I don't play a ton of guitar, but can imagine it'd be a blast to play.

loveisamixtape - I would say so. Dreamhouse was just too inconsistent for me, whereas this album meshes together much better. It still has variation, though - enough to keep me interested throughout the record.

And hell yes Scale the Summit is great.

it's great.

also nice review, pos'd for sure.

anyway, your recommended bands should be something like broadway, lower definition and i, the mighty bro .) it's not that indie(-ish) at all. technical pop punk seems no bad choice tbh.

ps: new wallpaper over here, yay!

great album, but the vocalist is fucking annoying at times with his over punkiness or whatever

glad you guys enjoy it. It's funny, the reaction the singer's gotten - when I listened to this album a few times I didn't hear anything that I thought people would dislike. :P
