Ignition and Smash are where it's at and it's not even debatable.

Agreed, even though between s/t and Ignition I can't really choose completely. First 3 Offspring are best Offspring for me definitely. Then Americana, then Ixnay (which I never got much into), then the rest (which I mostly don't mind).

I prefer Ixany to Americana, Americana has so much filler in my opinion.
Smash is best, and I need to check the first two.

Smash > Ignition >>> Ixnay > S/t >>>>>>>>>>> Americana >>>>> Splinter >>>>> Conspiracy Of One
From what I've heard.

It's funny because now and for the past 20 years they've been virtually unbearable but they have 2 albums which are fucking incredible and will never be able to recreate.

i enjoy americana, and each album afterwards has like 1 or 2 jams
but when theyre bad theyre horrible.
americana contains my favorite offspring track though. pay the man is a masterpiece

Not The One > Dirty Magic > Come Out And Play
Probably my top 3 Offspring.

Kill the President > Americana > Kick Him When He's Down
Probably mine. Smash's t/t would be there too if it wasn't for the huge wasted space. Almost can't go wrong with anything before 2000 anyways.

I just heard Crusin' California for the first time. Kill it with fire.

i adore pay the man because its different. its a veryunique song that the band pulled off insanely well.
crusin ccalifornia doesnt bother me as much as i thought it would. its a style parody of modern pop. theyre not trying to sell the song. theres nothing that actually went into it besides it being a stupid joke song.
then again, its not funny, so theres its problem.

I feel like aside from Smash this band doesn't make really good albums. Like each album will have 3 or 4 awesome songs and the rest is pretty filler.

Most 'joke songs' from Offspring since Americana aren't even funny at all. Seriously, they've been going downhill hard since Smash and never got back up (well, even though Ixnay is still pretty great).

Yeah, Ixnay is solid. I'd put it on a par with Ignition tbh.
|

Ignition is firmly my 2nd favorite Offspring album, Ixnay is great but slightly inconsistent tbh.

need to check s/t again its been about a year since i jammed
then again, its been a long time in general since ive last listened to the offspring.
|
| |
OK so i'm actually giving this a spin and first 3 tracks are more or less enjoyable, a far cry from 'classic' Offspring but pretty great considering it's 'new millennium' Offspring.

the last two are the best the album has to offer
slim pickens is pretty great for new offspring

Smash and Ixnay both rule
Haven't heard Ignition or the s/t in years but i remember them being good
I quite liked Rise and Fall and some of Americana but apart from that the others including this are so bad

Track no.4 is pretty dull i'm afraid to say, brings back ghosts of 'Conspiracy Of One' era, lord that album is terrible.
