This user/writer is probably going to be weeded out by natural selection soon.

Defeater reminds him of old Underoath.

Underoath is the only "hardcore" he listens to.

He won't trust anyone who listens to something he's never heard of.

Your mother should have aborted you when she had the chance.

I'm pretty sure Bannon's vocals throw everybody off at first.

Never understood everyone's issue with them

I'm gonna go back to listening to as I lay dying now.

I wouldn't recommend that either.

Well, I've seen some live videos of their songs and they (MMI) weren't that bad

at least as I lay dying did this sound before it became generic and are better at it. they also don't suck live.

Yeah, they're pretty good live.

I don't get it. In the pros you said Levi wins again, yet his vocals are extremely one dimensional on this album. He's lost it. He sounded great on Apologies and Monument but now he just sounds plain and boring.

Digging: Childish Gambino - STN MTN/ Kauai

He's still a great screamer, all the good things about him are still evident, but less so.

Honestly it's okay, I just like hating on this band for some reason. Probly because they're so shitty live and their clean vocalist is lolbad. But as far as generic metalcore goes it's half decent. Doesn't touch any of the bands that are actually good but it's worth a listen or two... as long as you aren't paying for it of course.

My soundoff basically sums this review up.

Like I said, Ballad of a Broken Man is the only song worth anything. Just AILD wanna-bes.

The chorus is horrific. Like I have to change the song or skip ahead of it. Ryan Neff is a terrible
singer.

He really is awful. The first time I heard that song was live, when the chorus came I just burst out laughing. He sounded so bad it was just unbelievable. Someone from the crowd with no singing experience could have gone up there and sounded on par with him or better... probably better.

The only member of this band that does it any justice is the drummer. He's fantastic, and always has been. But otherwise, subpar guitar and vocals.

No I've only been here since February, I am 20 miles from where MMI grew up... I know this band. Their
drummer is the only thing worth anything.

I have the unfortunate pleasure of residing in an area that has produced Rose Funeral, TDWP, and Miss
May I..

As far as metal goes, Cincinnati and the greater Cincy area in general SUCKS.
