neither is be'lakor's

simplistic is probably the correct term rather than bad (for both)
but anyway thats what my point was - generic songwriting =/= bad music all the time

who cares how bad the songwriting is aslong as it sounds good

This is a contradiction.

But the problem is that too many generic/ simplistic bands plague this genre. Therefore, it sucks and falls within the majority. That's what you call logic.

I don't see how their songwriting is simplistic at all

but hey I'm no expert like you Wiz

Seriously, was it that hard to learn Slaughter of the Soul riffs on guitar? I'm not an expert by any means but I find it funny that no one calls music like this simplistic.

Simplicity is not the issue guys.

It all comes down to whether this music evokes a sense of satisfaction within YOU or not.

For some it will, for some it won't.

Our taste are constantly changing. Shit I used to listen to Slipknot waaay back in the days and now I can stand them for the life of me.

When you continue in the pursuit of listening to new material and seeing what types of music are out there and what it again does for YOU, you will most likely change your thoughts and opinions about what you once appreciated.

Wizard I saw you commented on a Vehemence review, and said you were going to review God Was Created, by them. Can you do that? There isn't a review and it might just be one of the best melo-death albums of all time.

Dear Mr. Irving,

Potentially. I would recommend youtubing a few tracks to get a feel for it. In addition to the one Mr. Tyrael posted, I would also listen to:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yY625tkzs2E

Basically, if you tolerate melodic death metal a la Dark Tranquillity, old In Flames, Insomnium, etc. then you will probably dig this.

Sincerely,

That Indie Staff Guy
