How is not liking BM make your opinion invalid? In fairness, from what I've heard of this album; it is hardly BM.

I've never checked out his old ambient stuff. Seems like he'd have even more kvlt things to write after being free from prison, though. Sounds like garbage, which is a shame.

Varg is a classic example of an artist who should stick to his old guns and not try to recreate the wheel (even though I love Belus to death). Bang on review dude, I agree with every word said here. I will admit though, I'm a sucker for some of the heavier parts on this album. Thank you also for a reminder that I need to drop the rating on this a touch.

i like this slightly more than Belus, and definitely more than Fallen.

despite being more directly intense than a lot of his previous work, Belus still felt pretty safe. As for Fallen; Jeg Faller was awesome, the rest was either okay or eh. Fallen honestly kinda felt a little awkward, like it was a transitional album that would eventually lead to something more drastic... just didn't think that change would be so sudden.

i think i also can appreciate this seeing how comfortable varg sounds here. like, some of the more aggressive moments on Fallen felt a little forced, but almost everything sounds just right here.

and for the record, i understand the hate. i really do. not gonna bash anyone else's opinion for this one.
