Why? A rave isn't limited to one genre of electronic music (even though it originated out of acid house)

I've not been to one, so my opinion is shaped by those I know who have been. Raves in my area used to be, ironically enough, all about the trance and it's subgenre's. I've heard of the other music used, and somehow I think the drugs and bodies would just move better to something psychedelic *shrugs*

You don't understand that this is an album designed to make you dance? You don't get that 1+1=2?

The nastiest dance album you'll hear all year

No

you're saying dance is not a genre yet you use the term as if it were

So yeah I'm confused

Adjectives don't have to be genres. I could call this a long album, doesn't make long a genre.

"somehow I think the drugs and bodies would just move better to something psychedelic *shrugs*"

I think for a lot of people the drugs that are taken at raves just benefit from music that really takes over the listener, which is why really huge 4x4 beats are so popular, it's just a natural rhythm that's so easy to get into and be a part of.

Who says I'm using the term as a genre?

Let me give you a simple equation:

This is an album
It contains music designed to make you dance

This is a dance album

So what specific genre is this, like electro or something?

I don't really see how it could come across any other way except for what it is. Unless this is simply the result of you seeing my comment in that MJ thread and subsequently trying to catch me out only for it to backfire. That might seem like a rather intense thought to have, but I honestly don't see how anyone could be confused by the summary

Idk, maybe read the review and find out

See, it's a childish comment like that that inspires such thinking on my part

I've never claimed that, if you think I've ever insinuated as such then I'm slightly worried for your health
