Really like this release way better than Perch Patchwork. I personally think the pseudo-math rock Minus the Bear vibe works well for them.

I concur ;) Good job on the writeup though mate. I'm prolly gonna spend another 5 mins picking apart the thought processes in the two opening paragraphs alone lol.

actually yeah this is a lot better than the first full length

the EPs are great, but on this one they actually don't sound like MtB clones so much

Some of the songs here are my favourites of the year and others are just okay in comparison.
It's not balanced but overall, I thought it was great. =)

Just kind of a relaxing indie record. Nothing special but it's good.

Catching these guys, for the third time in my life, in an hour or two. I'm really hoping they play a fair amount of older material. I really like this album a lot, but as a few others have mentioned, and I agree, this definitely wore off a bit with repeated listens. I've still got a hard-on for Perch Patchwork. In my opinion, that was the perfect evolution of their sound; still mathy and raw, but also structured, tight, and melodic. Anyway, here's to it, Sputnikers. Cheers.

Here, here Patrick! =)

They are actually pretty solid for their lyrics, I'll say that.
Probably their most underrated element. I would prefer they sounded a little more like their older material since listening to it but they are pretty good at making solid pop records too.

The production on this is gold.

Wasn't really into this the first couple listens. Review reminded me to give another spin.
