I never read the books but the movie was pretty enjoyable.

Plot line is too silly for my liking, I found the games to be a really dumb idea of how the kapitol could exert its power over the districts. Iunno, I had my next few months all planned out. I would plow through all three books but now I realized it's not for me.
And the shaky camera? Fuuuuuccckkkkk

I expected the mutts to be much more gruesome looking. They looked like glorified pugs in the movie.

Shaky cam was very lame. Killed a lot of would-be good shots. Also the lack of any feeling of desperation or need for survival, which was a huge focus in the book, made the movie feel shallow, amongst a lot of other things.
