Was going to review this but you covered all the points, good review. Imo this is better than Artwork, but worse than the first three, especially their first and second, which are incredible.

Yeah, they definitely could have made this better in certain aspects.
Thanks for the feedback, guys!

Which are the key tracks here? Also, how good is Hands and Faces (which I really like) in relation to the rest of it?

Album Rating: 3.5
Well, for me "Hands and Faces" was just good, mostly due to that distorsion effect they added on his voice, but I'd recommend "This Fire", "Moving On", "Getting Over You". As it seems you really liked the new sound, you should also listen to "Shine".

In my case, it turned better than I expected and I really enjoyed it. To each his own...

I am an eager beaver

the used and dubstep
win win
|
| |
Dubstep is not really present here tbh
|
| |
There are a few seconds of it in one of the songs, I swear it.
|
| |
Oh I know, just not nearly enough for it to become a reason to not try the album.
|
| |
Haha, funny you say that. If these guys pulled a Path Of Totality for this new album I'd be all over it :D
|
| |
Should I check this out? I liked Artwork.
|
| |
I really enjoy vocal-centric dubstep, it's most of my collection actually.
|
| |
The Used just make really decent music (pre and post In Love and Death). Its not amazing but there's definitely some cool parts in some of their songs.

I haven't listened to them for so long but this looks good

The acoustic tracks are nice. Not the biggest fan of put me out though

The acoustic version of Put Me Out was weird.

But freaking awesome. Beats the other two acoustics anyways. As for the album, started out as a 2.5/3 but went up to 3.5 with time. Still growing on me though, might even go up to a 4, if only because of the incredible bonus tracks.

Listened to a few tracks...seems alright, but somewhat uninspired. It took awhile for me to get into Artwork though so maybe I'll give it a shot

I disliked Artwork so I expected to dislike this but I was surprised to find its not bad. Im not really the biggest fan of the sappy ballads but the heavier moments are pretty great.
