This is a bad review, not because of the rating (this is probs a 3.5 for me on first listen and doesn't come close to leading vision) but its just unnecessarily long, you could cut this review in half and still make all the points that has been made. And I hate to sound like a bitch but seriously parts of this review is too informal and not needed. I don't mind reviews having their own informal personal touch, in fact it makes it more interesting to read. But having a personal dig at Thor for example in the middle of the review isn't needed, it just comes across as childish and silly.

Some of your descriptions are very vague also, sure probably most of the people here already know what Gorod sound like but think as if someone is reading this who have never heard the band before, are they going to get a good idea of how the band sounds like? Parts of the review you do a good job, but other parts of the review I wouldn't have a good idea what this band was like. That + the length and irrelevant crap means I can't pos this thing.

Don't get me wrong this isn't horrible but its not good either.

i would take it if i respected the source...i write to be interesting, if one side comment to Thor (whose top soundoff for this review begins willfellmarsy doesn't know dick) and some playful language, alliteration, and some jokes makes this internet review too informal, that's fine...i'd rather write something i find interesting to read, even if i don't describe in full detail the band's style (being that they've released 3 prior full lengths and i spend the review explaining how the differences on this album as compared to their previous work, make it bad...)...read your reviews bro, typical blah blah blah, no real flare or style, just the same old thing so if it wasn't for your wall of text criticism without a real point, i wouldn't have told you to grow a penis...your retort basically said "You made a joke about thor, negnegneg," so i still say you need to grow a penis...

This review was dumb as shit. All i read was "Wahhhh i don't like the new vocalist!!!" The Axe of God was a song that took an 'old Gorod' listener back to the "Neurotripsicks" album with it's heaviness and head banging vibe it had. "Varangian Paradise" was insane! Just like most songs loved by this band, The jazzy feel was there and it was heavy as well. I am happy that you enjoyed Birds Of Sulphur, 5000, and Carved, because those were impressive songs, but dude...the vocalist was not as bad as you claim him to be. Sure, it is an opinion, but c'mon..."To say it's the worst vocal performance in the history of music would probably be a bit brash, so it won't be said. Suffice to say, to avoid saying too much already, he's awful." This is too much. He did just fine. He had too much highs, but other than that, i feel that he fit most of the album.
