My top three Lamb songs would be The Carpet Crawlers, In The Cage, The Lamia. After that it gets tricky, the whole thing is full of amazement.

Yeah there's so many amazing moments on that album it's virtually impossible to rank the individual songs.
|

The Lamia is one of my fave genesis songs.

| |
Same. It often seems to get overlooked in favour of songs from the first half of The Lamb.

''Come on now Jethro, Carpet Crawlers is at least top 5.''
From the album The Lamb, yes, I would agree.

The second half may not be as flawless as the first overall, but indeed The Lamia is a masterpiece.

Hairless Heart is such a beautiful instrumental. Love the way it leads into Counting Out Time.

A fine example of how well The Lamb flows as an album (though again, slightly better during the first half). Ah, it's such a magnificent work.

Paperlate! Cried a voice in the crowd. Old man dies, the note he left was signed old father Thames, it seems he's drowned; selling England by the pound
