Haha, I thought the same thing as well before I listened because I kept hearing that they were a BOO clone. I was pretty disappointed.

I mostly like this because of the razor sharp production and the djent sound. I'm not really into the band in general.

I also think this album is actually better than common man's collapse. That one sure is fun, but only for a while, it has no lasting appeal.

Hmm i see. Yeah Eclipse sounds crispier, it has a more "modern" sound.

I can see where you come from with that xfing, TCMC is not as catchy and distinct as Eclipse. This is one great fucking album.

i would never compare VoM to cynic but ok.. this is the first listen i ever had of Veil of Maya. and i was actually put off at first for some reason.. the synths and the production.. but after a while it really grew on me and now i must say i really dig this and (id) alot... very unique for this style of metal
