'Untrue' is an album that benefits from extended breaks in the middle, but 'Kindred' is really messing with my sense of time. Album ends seemingly every five minutes.

The album hasn't been released physically yet and you can get it on hyperdub.net.

i just think it's an easier listen. like, he took the darker ambiences of other artists and focused his talents through that. plus it's much more easily digestible with its smaller size.

I would argue that this is far more (purposefully) convoluted than anything he's ever done

i guess if you look at it that way then yes, it is a lot more complicated. but i've listened to this straight through almost ten
times already without even thinking. i find myself getting lost in this album a lot more easily than 'untrue', which may be
because it's more complicated...

like, it's easier to sit through because of those layers i guess? idk i'm probably wrong or whatever

edit: i guess what i'm trying to say is you're right. lol

consistently producing the same beat album after album and somehow still being so very enticing to listen to...

Been listening to this all day and took a break and popped The Weeknd on. Couldn't help but think I was hearing a slower version of the Kindred drum track at 1:40:

Not quite as similar as it seemed when I heard it but it was really weird.

Anyways, this rules of course. Can't begin to express how much I enjoy what this guy does, I'll never get bored of it. Great review too dev. I wouldn't have had a clue how to put this one into words.
