Am I the only one who has no problem with Burial making the "same" album over and over? There's plenty that's fresh here; the deep groove in Kindred took me by surprise.

Obviously not. But as far as this point is concerned, the man timed his discography perfectly. An 06/07 one-two punch, waits two years while Untrue spreads like wildfire and "dubstep" gains noticeable traction, and then spends the next three years releasing inspired collaborations and timely solo EPs that don't seem rushed in the least. He isn't drowning us in his sound, even when his music often sounds like he is. Kindred is probably the most potent example of this thus far, and I think Dev's review comes closest to hitting that nail on its head. How do you continue to redefine a sound that, as far as everyone is (somewhat wrongly) concerned, "redefined" a sound? By acting as if you are still suspicious of its power and quality; that's where the sinister, paranoid aspect plays in.
