When the tracks are downtempo ("Beg Like A Human") it really makes me hate the guys voice; the tracks with energy fare far better imo.

Tried this once through - really not my thing. Must be fun for the punks, I guess, but I found the lyrics/his voice pretty (unintentionally) hilarious.

I'm liking it so far. I have to admit, though, it sounds unusually repetitive.

Great review Downer, some of the descriptions in the first two paragraphs are quintessential you, and ace as always.

IMHO though, you could have dropped that "Awesome record" final sentence and this review would be all the better for it. The writing on here has gone from excellent to stellar, and to cap it all off with a line that sounds like something I would come up with leaves a bit of a disappointing aftertaste.

But I'm really just splitting hairs here man. Good job.

Yeah take out the last fragment downer. Forced "casualness" can be a detriment

I want to hear this. The incomprehensible jargon presented here leads me to believe this something that needs to be heard.

Review got me interested, but... that guitar is the most annoying sound ever.

I really like the concept and the sonic design of this album, yet the songwriting gets a little sloppy at times.

After the first sentence I decided to get the album. Good review. To me this is true post punk revival.

Looked up the first track and I'm loving it already, I'm going to listen to the rest of the album.

this is a little more post-punk and less hardcore, and its own way, as abrasively noisy as leave home.
