after being raised in East Van's thriving punk scene. Just because she decided to move out east after

high school doesn't change where she's from. Obviously her music is more "Montreal" than "Vancouver",

for a number of reasons, but mainly the scene is just better at cultivating that sort of creativity.

but she was born and raised in Vancouver (until she was almost 20, has only lived in Montreal for a

few years) and is an skinny, white, English speaking west-coast hippy. She's ours.

Why? Conversation loses it's worth when only a fraction of the content is understood as intended or is up to speculation and at the attempt at solving misunderstandings can result in even more discrepancies - talk about confirmation biases. Plus it can result in people being nonsensically stressed out and perhaps even more fatally wrong business communication.
