Nah the remake of All Else Failed is definitely their worst.

Understandable and I do agree. I hear a lot of Disembodied influence and some other 90's metalcore. Record is still awesome and a good representation of the era.

Not heard that and Awake, Jokine.

It's a three way tie between Funeral, Liberate and Fire for their best record. So hard to pick :/

Liberate beats em barely. Other 2 tied for 2nd and 3rd

Tough band for me to rank but I agree that's my three favorites as well. It might be fire by a hair for me,

I just love how thick and bassy Funeral is, overproduced but in the best way possible.

The rawness of Liberate and Fire are hard to beat tho, these guys have always been on a similar dissonance scale to Converge but with more expansive songwriting.

I agree, when that record came out in 2004, the production was so full. A lot of Metalcore bands didn't sound like that on record.

this is just edging between a high 3.5 and 4 for me, the vocals are just holding the rest back with their monotony

he gets so much better after this

edit: oh its a totally different vocalist that why

In my opinion, this is Zao at their best. It has a certain rawness to it that makes it stand out to me. Surrounds Me...YES

Just gave it my first listen and definitely like it more than Funeral. Gonna give it the 4.

I really dig this album but it's tough to rate since half of it was rerecorded from the debut.

Yeah, no complaints on the production. In regards to the rest of their discography, it's definitely overlooked and underappreciated.

You guys should check out Shawn Jonas' other band symphony in peril. He goes even harder on their albums

Amazing Punk album, screamer kind of reminds me of Chester from Linkin Park, but no other complaints.
