Just wanted to say (again) that this is a really good review, Adam. I'm going to avoid this like the plague for as long as I can... Everything I've heard so far has failed to interest me in the slightest =/

Apart from the two singles and Blue Jeans this is pretty much all filler

Really good review Adam. You crystallized it in a way that even a bloke completely unfamiliar with Lana Del Rey (and the hype surrounding her) would understand. That being said, this review reminds me of the Watch The Throne and Neighbourhoods reviews that you wrote, which, while compelling writing, ultimately aimed for a thesis that I ended up disagreeing with (I also enjoyed both albums thoroughly).

Maybe I'll try this out anyway - despite my better judgment lol.

She's trying to hard too be an Indie artist. This album is bland and poorly executed. Bad taste on her behalf.

there are too many things about lana('s music) that i don't agree with on such a fundamental level that it seems impossible for me to ever reach a level of enjoyment beyond acknowledgement of its musicality

so that's that
