hmm I think I need to revisit their self-titled. I gave it a 4 but I can't remember it much (and somehow lost the files), and listening to this makes me wonder if I really would still enjoy s/t that much. This album is pretty annoying, not liking it much at all.

Unstoppable just sounds so cheesy. It's really weak compared to songs like Oh Lord or Wanna Be Angel

it doesn't sound cheesy, it sounds fuckin sweet

It isn't a bad song. I just don't like it as much as the others on that album.

"i like it" is the best song they've ever written

Lol. I didn't know this album was out yet. I actually was a PA on the I Like It music video. I cleaned that whole fuckin church of rock n' roll. What a mess. Haha but it was fun. Cool dudes.

It may only be comparatively speaking, but Foxy Shazam appear to show some restraint on their 4th LP 'The Church of Rock and Roll'! While the bombastic 70s glam-rock influence still very much exists, the Cincinnati sextet has produced (along with The Darkness' Justin Hawkins) a tighter, more focused record here. Unfortunately, that only occasionally works in their favor, with the album's uneven latter half lacking a little energy. It's still fun & the 1st half definitely has enough sing-along hooks to go around... But one can't help but feel that this is a step back from their self-titled LP. Recommended Tracks: Holy Touch, I Like It & Last Chance at Love.

I'm upset that I haven't seen them yet. Been a fan since like 07 and still haven't found my way to a show.
