Actually, you will. The most useful function Lars performs is getting kids interested in drumming long enough to find themselves some really talented drummers to idolise.
And I quite like most of the songs from this. It's decent for a spin now and then. Good review, too.

load is cool. very mainstream which is good cos it attracts a wider range of people to their music, and even gets some people into the older stuff

Okay, what the hell? Sure, Metallica have written a lot of metal songs, and are generally considered a metal band, but Load isn't a metal album (you said it yourself), so why the hell are you giving it a "metal rating"? Since when did every song in every genre of music have to compare to the stanards of metal? This "metal rating" is absurd.

I think this album is picked on alot because it's not really Metallica's usual work. So people think because it's not all like thrash metal that it sucks. But i bet of this album was put out by a less talented band like Green Day for example (not to knock green day but their instrumental skills obviously aren't up to par with Metallica's) the album probably have like atleast a 4.2 rating, I overrated this album abit to try and bring up ratingThis Message Edited On 04.16.06

I agree with metallicaman8 about green day and if they had this album it would be classic and great. that's because green day sucks, they have no talent, overrated band by teenagers who have no clue what music is and suck.
okay i will probably get ripped on, but i hate green day.
back to METALLICA. This album is fun to listen to and most songs are good. a few fillers and lots of dispute to what those songs may be, but I like this album and can listen to it all the way through without skipping tracks. it's just a great album and very different from whta metallica use to be, but no less.

Until It Sleeps and King Nothing are some of my favourite Metallica songs. Mama Said is pretty good too, haven't heard the others but I doubt this album deserves the bad rep it gets.

Dude, just cuz it wasnt like their earlier stuff doesnt mean its bad. Seriously, if you were Metallica would you want to make the same kinda music for 15-20 years? It would get kinda old after a while. You gotta change once and a while.
