PC ain't bad, and it has the magnifiscent Faith In Others, which is, imho, one of the best Opeth ballads ever. Goblin, MASB, The River and of course the opener are all great tunes. But Heritage is more tight, it has a sense of continuity and totality.

PC was such a dissapointment after this. It's like a much safer version of this with all the invention and excitingly loose musicianship taken out in favour of more accessible and derivative "prog" by numbers.

I was disappointed when I read that River would be an ecen more spaz out song, but they decided to control it... Why the heck do that?

PC grew off me a bit. All the songs are great, but overall feels cheesier and less adventurous than this with too many unnecessary attempts at sounding hard rock/heavy metal.
