I agree with acad, review is pretty badly written, and I don't really even like Thrice very much. But this reads more like a rant than a proper review. He has points, but they seem hastily rushed together and it all reads rather annoyingly.

you guys, i was sitting here reading a couple of excerpts from my recently purchased stefan zweig autobiography and i got to thinking how weird it is that people like thrice. it's not even weird weird it's just weird to me because, well i don't know, thrice is very excessive for an OC post-hardcore four-piece and the praise they get is akin to claiming someone naturally cured of an ailment was cured by a miracle of god; it’s truly looking for a way to praise something that isn’t there. Why post-hardcore won’t accept that dead-ends can be avoided by turning somewhere else is beyond me, and how people can still give esteem to these acts, merely enabling the disease, is even further away from reason. It’s not fun, it’s not serious, it moves nowhere, it’s nothing in particular. Music is still evolving, I swear, just not here.
