Seeing these guys with Man Overboard and Handguns in about a month. I'm halfway through my first spin of this album, it's not terrible but pretty damn average. Hopefully they'll be a decent live band.

i disagree with the common consensus on this band. theyre fantastic live and i love the tone of their music as well as the lyrics. its catchy when it needs to be and is perfect for a rainy day imo.

Don't listen to them Gyro, this was a great review. I don't really see what the big deal is, it's not too different from your other reviews. Some people are saying you sound like a 5th grader but then go to say your being too complex about it.

This album has grown on me lately. It's taken a year, but I kind of like it.

How about we all stop listening to others' so called "Authoritive oppinion" and take a chance and listen to the band.
I didn't like the album whatsoever when I first listened, Now the album is possibly one of my most listened to album. I love the album to death, and I understand how someone can not like something, but that doesn't mean someone has an authority over anybody and can tell anybody what they should and shouldn't like. I certainly wasn't a fan at first, but it grew unto me and now I can even feel what the lyrics send. To me this album is great, but to some it isn't, but those who don't like it possibly listened to it first and actually gave it a chance before asking anyone.

I actually quite like Slow Down. I love the way he sings "I'll take a deep breath like I never held it at OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAOHOHOHOHohohohoh!" and the chorus is damn catchy. The verses do kind of suck though.

This really is a subtle grower. I don't think I'll ever like it more than a 3 though. Better production and had Kyle actually tried with the vocals, this would be better. Not sure why he got rid of the harsh vox.

Honestly, this is a grower in a kind of subtle way. I cant justify rating it more than a 3 though. I will say the production is better, but Kyle didnt seem to even try vocally. In fact, I'm not even sure why he quit doing the aggressive style vocals.
