I'm not sure I would go as far as to call this "ineffectual", but I suppose it somewhat misses the mark of being truly amazing. I just look at it as really great piano-driven ambient.

Was listening to this on the way home while it was raining outside. Perfect album for it. The way you can hear the piano keys depress one by one makes this so much more mesmerizing.
