guess ill be that 'one guy' with this album. its nice, nothing more. dont understand how somebody could rave about it.

bcause you're a fucking idiot

different people have... different ear... appetites... they like different sounds... one man's hot dog is another's hamburg....

people rave about... hamburgers... they like the taste of...

sometimes people like hamburgers that taste familiar... some hot dogs taste like shit.... i lost my train of thought

I can see why some people wouldn't like this compared to other composers. I guess I just really dig Olafur's style. Plus, he is somewhat post-rock as well.

Weight of Darkness has a bit of a post-rock feel on a few songs. It's pretty subtle.

have you ever thought about the influence of classical music, in particular minimalism, on post-rock?

well maybe it has a minimal feel, instead of a post-rock feel. and perhaps post-rock sometimes has a minimal feel.

The album's been released, and those who pre-ordered the product (such as me) can download a 320kbps version of it, which is SO much better sounding than those free copies Olafur has on his site. This was the quality I wanted :]

Anyways, I pre-ordered the cd with the dvd. Curious on what the dvd will be like ;O

classical music refers to the classical period of music which sounds mad different from both post-rock and minimalism

I'd say Olafur is a combination of both the minimalistic and neo-classical genre.

Is this new artwork from the physical release? I liked the black one better...=[
