The album's been released, and those who pre-ordered the product (such as me) can download a 320kbps version of it, which is SO much better sounding than those free copies Olafur has on his site. This was the quality I wanted :]

Anyways, I pre-ordered the cd with the dvd. Curious on what the dvd will be like ;O

classical music refers to the classical period of music which sounds mad different from both post-rock and minimalism

I'd say Olafur is a combination of both the minimalistic and neo-classical genre.

The other photo was being used by Olafur until he came out with an actual album cover. This artwork is the official album cover.

Near Light is beautiful indeed, as is the rest of the album.

What I really love is how, the first time I was listening to this, I would get this sensation of "If he played this note right now, it would be perfect" and he did, over and over again. It's like I really connected with it somehow.

Hard to explain. But I love the album, and definitely will check out his other work later on.
