the lyrics are pretty creepy :[

You are my ocean
Of liquid bowels
I feed on your heart
Floating within flesh and blood

Host, I beg you not to free me
Host, I beg you not to free me

Keep me from the light shining through my skin
Cover me with your body, mother

Me, who I am your parasite
Of love and instinct
Me, who I am your parasite
Of love and instinct

Your beauty is divine
Goddess

The gift you made me, take it back

Take back every cell
So I can remain in you
Take back every cell
So I can remain in you

yikes :]

Sorry man the dude that reviewed this album didn't even notice that this album is much more of a sludge album than a black metal album. It's like he doesn't even listen to the music he just constantly brings up older works that really don't have anything to do with the current sound. I mean listen to the first song on this album, it sounds like Grief for crying out loud, the last song sounds like Devin Townsend playing guest guitar for Jesu while Russian Circles gives them a helping hand.

The vocals are black, but the music is more doom. If anything it's dark metal. Hell, the first dark metal album (Dark Metal by Bethlehem) was more doom than black metal. I'd probably call it experimental post blackened sludgegaze though.

btw the album is almost 50 minutes including the bonus songs

bollocks. it's:

The vocals are black, but the music is more doom.

...which is exactly what i said in my review, pretty much.

bonus tracks don't constitute to an album, either. it's why they're called bonus tracks.

but thanks for being a pretentious dick! :]

also

the last song sounds like Devin Townsend playing guest guitar for Jesu while Russian Circles gives them a helping hand.

what the fuck are you talking about

you're one of those idiots that compares anything to anything to the point where it's meaningless. there's no russian circles in it, hell there's barely any devin townsend or jesu. but it's idiots like you that think anything that uses major key sounds like jesu.

I used to have that too but ever since I've heard Nightfall I just don't see the point in listening to other doom albums any more ^^

that was a joke? are you guys all retarded?

DarkNoctus, I'm sorry dude but you really shouldn't review music. You don't have the ear for it. You either can't hear what's going on or you don't understand it.

And the Jesu comment wasn't about major keys, that was the Devin Townsend comment? Do you have ears? Can you hear? I was obviously referring to the production and atmosphere? Jesus, man, every comment you make is embarrassing to read. I cringed reading your review. I was like "did this guy even hear the same album as me?" Hell, if you call Old Silver Key even remotely black metal then you should give it up because you are obviously deaf.

Great comment bro, insightful commentary. I can see why you have 23636 comments if they are all so in depth.
