It makes me sad when people give an album a 3.5 or so, but seem to only mention negative aspects of the album when describing it.

No one seems to realize that a 3 is good. Everyone treats it like it's some sort of negative.

Yeah. An album doesn't need to change lives in order to be enjoyable.

Well the album does have a lot going for it (mostly thanks to the instrumentation that is stellar at
times), but whenever I put on the first album again I get mad how they changed. All they had to do was
drop excessive sample use and they had a perfect post hardcore formula for me....

While I agree that Plan B was a stellar album, I'm still glad they took this direction. I doubt the band would've moved too far forward with the same formula. This album's fun as hell, and the group pulls the style off well.

It's upsetting that the average isn't above a 4. 4.2 sounds nice.

Honestly, this album is the most consistently good albums throughout that I've heard from the post-hardcore genre. I think they are up there with Circa Survive as my favorite post-hardcore acts. I also absolutely love the instrumentation on the album.

I usually hate this sort of post hardcore (not structured, prone to guitar wankery, kinda whiny vocals) but I'm actually
really enjoying this. Songwriting is top-notch.
The Blowtorch is Applied to The Sugar is incredible.
