"Every Teardrop is awful, paradise is ok but nothing special. Album is really average and by far is the worst thing that have created Chris Martin and company, I missed the times of parachutes and a rush of blood to the head."

yup. I still like this (obviously) but wish they'd return to their roots. they never will, but we can hope. I have some faith that they aren't washed up yet though, cause Viva la Vida is their best album, and they still haven't left that phase yet, not really.

I'm finding that Coldplay's music is getting less compelling with every subsequent release, having said that I can't help it but still listen to it. They've found a connection with younger audiences and they have become saturated into that culture, however there are glimpses of their past glories in here and plenty of uplifting moments with the production being more layered than their previous effort, Viva La Vida. Still for a Coldplay album it is slightly forgettable.

I'm really not a fan of Every Teardrop... But I really like the rest of the first half of the album.

Hurts like Heaven and Charlie Brown are great, of course. I like Paradise, as well. I think Chris Martin tries way too hard to
sing low in "Us against the World", but it's a good song anyhow. The second half of the album isn't as strong, though,
IMO.
