It did take a while for me to love that one. I was only interested in the wank when I first got into DT, and that album was too slow-paced and restrained for me. Now it's actually the one I go back to the most.

Too much love for Black clouds in this review. ADTOE is far superior to Black Clouds which is, along with Systematic Chaos, the weakest in Dream Theater's catalogue.

As I said, it's a dividing album. I find that one to be a lot more creative and memorable than this album, which is just a weaker version of stuff they've already done throughout their career. I'd rather see them try something new than try to relive their glory days if this is what comes out of it.

I find Black Clouds to be their least creative album. Other than the count of tuscany all the other songs are average at best. With ADTOE I enjoy every song. For me its their best since Train of Thought.

Build me up, Break me down is not a bad song. I like to think of it as a more technical version of ''Feed The Machine'' by Red. Am I only who notice the similarities (the end in particular).
That being said, I like Feed The Machine more.
