What tempest said. Although, once more... Is the only genuinely weak entry imo.

Third full listen and this finally clicked for me. I'm happy to have found this band.

This album is growing on me so hard. I feel like if I stop listening to it for 1-2 months, it will be

euphoric as fuck the next time I listen. At least that's what happens when I let a certain artist go on hold

for a while.

Yeah, I'm listening to their other albums too. I'm so damn excited about this band.

Leviathan, Crack the Skye, and Blood mountain are my favorite trinity by any band. Isis comes close. Intronaut and The Ocean are in the neighborhood.

Leviathan, BM, and CTS are numbers 2, 4, and 6 in my favorite albums. Remission is 47. Once More is 81.

I don't think I could do an all-time rank. Too many albums.

yeah I should probably call it my list of favorite metal albums, because you just can't compare CCR, Ornette Coleman, a smattering of classical, and, say, Ulcerate. I've got the non-metal stuff in an unranked list. Mastodon is heading dangerously close to unranked territory :P

haha. They'll always have that element of Metal, no matter how mainstream they get.

The drums are very forward and clear in this album, contrasting their previous albums. They sound incredible

on a decent set of headphones.

No their other albums were mixed really well, but the drums on this are even better.
