"might go down to a 3.5"
^I sometimes hate users on this site. This is at least a 4.5 in my book.

Cool, but I would appreciate more constructive comments. Besides, I think giving this album less than a 4 is disserviceable. I mean... I haven't heard a better retro rock album in years.

I can see that's what you think of it but you can't just force a greater appreciation. For me this was a great-sounding retro rock album but not outstanding, however since you are insistent I will spin it some more.

Not outstanding? I seriously don't know how can you refer as 'not outstanding' to "Midnight Crawler" for example. The best retro rock album since "We Sweat Blood" (2003) that's definitely a great accomplishment in my book.

um, chill out
this retro rock pastiche stuff is generally awful

How funny that debate is. I myself bumped this down to a 4 not long ago, but you Greg 'harshly' convinced me I was wrong in doing so, and I resigned myself haha. Re-listening atm, album deserves at least a 4 for sure. I particularly enjoy from track 3 to track 6 included.
Edit; Now I can see why I went down to a 4. Back to my feelings.

Can't remember whether or not I have read any of your reviews Greg, but this one is short and sweet. Excellent album
