Actually that makes a lot of sense. It just seems like an odd change in lyrics considering he seems to be pursuing this girl most of the song. Then again, there's a big shift musically so I guess it all works out

i hear it as "you've set on me but you are not the sun"

like meaning that she has moved on and left his ass behind and he's realising that it's not so bad cos she ain't everything (the sun)

idk just talking out my ass i don't really think about it much

they never did release official lyrics for this did they?

damn tommy I like your interpretation better. Fits the song's lyrics better. If that's you talking out of your ass I'd like to see what you have to say when you know what you're talking about lol. I'm gonna relisten now and see if I can relate to it

and I doubt it, since so many lyric sites have so many different versions of the lyrics.

yeah tox a lot of what he sings/screams blurs the words and there are multiple ways it could be heard/interpreted and people just apply it however they wish or however resonates with them

idk I think it's kinda cool

It's "you set on me but you are not the sun"

"settle baby" makes no sense in the context of the sentence or the entire song

If I say one thing this month on sputnik it might as well be an elitist comment in a Brand New thread

"Dammit I'm starting to hear "you set on me." "
Somehow I read your comment and just assumed you that's what you said (on the last page), instead of "Settle baby."
I'm with SS, I think it's very clearly "You set on me but you are not the sun"
