I read that D'arcy talking about the reunion it was an impersonator, but I think it makes sense that she can't return to the band after her drug abuse and Billy cant stand that

Nah Billy just can't stand that she's not on his level. He let Jimmy back into the band and he was essentially a Heroin junkie.

I don't think Disarm will ever not be one of my favorite songs
But yeah I know that D'arcy and him are getting along better now so he says

tbh i don't think anyone would be that bothered about the D'arcy thing if not for Corgan's continuous comments regarding the band/reunion and how he (paraphrasing) really couldn't see himself pursuing it anymore w/o the original members
talk about a tease

why do people always think there needs to be "The" in front of band names?
|
| |
Album Rating: 5.0
cos they're not just any old smashing pumpkins
they're THE smashing pumpkins
|
| |

but maybe you should just ask Billy himself, considering he started throwing a "the" in front of their name on albums for the next 3 albums after this one

It's really funny to see how bands from that "era" basically hated each other lolol even among those with slightly distinguished identities, but pretty similar features/ vibes/ background in general. Nowadays you can say, in one hand, that there's more artistic respect for other music or forms of expression, or, in the other hand, too afraid to speak their minds.

Just finally listened to this after putting it off for like 6 years.
Unsurprisingly, it’s amazing.

The best moments on this are nothing short of stunning but Christ it’s cheesy and some of the grunge/90s-isms are turning me off a bit. Not really sure how it compares to Mellon Collie but they’re also completely different albums. I’m slightly disappointed because I always thought this would be an instant 5 for me. :-(
