I'm gonna have to drop the rating. Kanye has a bad habit of making awesome shrinker albums.

Aubrey

Aka the Ryan Seacrest of rap. Son is the safest nigga on earth. This the type a NAHGGER that old rich white men try to set up wit they daughters n shit. This nigga wasnt born yo....he was blossomed. When he aint startin pillow fights on tour n pollinatin flowers n shit son stays spittin wit that tenderized Stephen Hawking voice. The niggas heart got a ponytail. Son could probably make you any origami animal you ask him to namsayin. He the type a nigga to sprinkle rose pedals on his bed before he go to sleep n shit. Son could probably frost a cake usin his eyes nahmean. This niggas moms n pops basically got Rick Rolled when the doctor said "Its a boy!" But it aint like Tone wanna see the nigga get torn to pieces by a pack a wolves n shit. If I seen him would the god wanna beat the garnier fructis outta him? I dont kno b. Maybe?

I dunno how I feel about this...it's cool at parties but I don't really have a desire to listen to it by myself.

This is a cool fucking album. I dig it a lot; it's refreshing to hear these two together for an entire record, and the risks they take production-wise are well rewarded. I could easily see this settling in as a cult favorite, late-blooming type of rap album. "No Church in the Wild" is the best track on the album, by far.

I'm considering changing my rating to a 4. This album will grow on you the more you listen, and pretty quickly. But "Lift Off" and "Made In America" aren't very good. Beyonce's voice annoys the shit out of me, and I don't like hearing an OF affiliate singing about "sweet baby jesus".

Yeah, the whole baby Jesus thing is very over the top, but I guess it's part of the oddball charm for me. However, I understand and empathize with your annoyance. Ever since "Jesus Walks," Kanye feels he has to incorporate some outrageous, falsely-bold defense of Jesus, as if every other rapper alive didn't have that one "atonement track" at the end of his records in which he appologizes to God for all the sins which he's just spent an album's worth of tracks boasting about. It's one big circus act, but I agree, sometimes the clowning can be distracting, and sometimes downright creepy.

Although they tried infusing a little dub. I like this album for the most part. At least they still try to produce hip-hop
instead of straight gangster rap.

I can dig That's My B*tch, but too much of the album just slips on by.

Feels more like one of Kanye's mixtapes to me overall.

Yeah i may have to bump this up to a 4... i still don't like the Beyonce song. At all. But the rest of this is really good. (even though it has no flow and is basically just a collection of radio singles. really good radio singles, but still...)
