synthpop (electro-pop) is a big genre covering a larger time frame than I think you're assuming it does. You may mean what your saying but I'm going to have to disagree with you.

What I mean though is that there seems to be a lot of this kind of music and I hate it. It's ridiculously polished to the point that it has no depth at all. It's reptitive, boring, manufactured, autotuned. just can't stand it. I don't hate all pop music but I loathe this kinda stuff
