Barely playing any new music anymore here for couple of years, real life and stuff, only newer thing I really dug is Kendrick Lamar(only like 10 songs between his last 2 full lengths). Only music thats been pulling me through has been steven wilson/PT/blackfield. Heard a new Deathspell is out, prob need to get on that hsit.

Yes new DSO rules ^

Dum Spiro, imo, is a fucking mess. But does have enough redeeming moments to be enjoyable.

It is entirely plausible for many people to perceive it as such even after repeated listens. I mean, look at the review we're commenting on...

Interestingly, especially because it was my first contact with the band album-wise, I loved this from the start and over time it became one of the records I return to the most.

P.S. Had to pick this for the 6000th comment.

I started with Withering to Death right before Marrow came out. This is one of their best for sure

Considering one bluray from them is like 60 noop that's good. A fap is in order.

Tour Gauze Blu Ray at cheapest is £130 (£80 if you know an A-Knot member from Japan) and £100+ for DSS Limited Edition, so yeah I'm mega chuffed right now. I still have my regular DSS Budokan Blu Ray so if anyone wants that here I'll sell it.

If I wasn't in the process of moving I might, maybe some stage down the line if you haven't sold it.

Also, fuck that was a good deal.

"This band has such a loyal fanbase"

Dunno about that, There's a reason they've been neglecting the US the past few years. I think a good portion of their western audience jumped ship after Marrow and Uroboros. Hell Arche was their first album to not get a US release since Vulgar

They still go over there every 2 years or so, so they haven't neglected it but in terms of promotion and going on festivals they've really backpedaled that since later 2013. DSS' lack of sales compared to Uroboros was probably one reason behind that, and yeah from what I've seen a bunch of people in the US jumped shipped when DSS came to down and their selling to American audiences in Hot Topic didn't work as well as it should. But what I think Trebor means by that statement is that he's referring to the Japanese fans and hardcore western fans, who pretty much buy all of their shit and go to their shows regardless of price and are...lets just say very energetic.
