Sunn O))) are pretty sweet.
black one is a good album
i don't have this though

I agree with the rating. Their early stuff is fucking awful (as is Earth2, BTW), but they became good when they started "branching out" and including "progressive elements" into their music (starting with Flight Of The Behemoth).
The review was very unusual, but very good at that. This Message Edited On 03.04.07

I disagree. I think all their albums are unique and fantastic in their own way, which is why I love Sunn o))) so much. The Grimmrobe Demos are no different, I think this is their most powerful, droning, heaviest but most relaxing album. The way the instruments sound, the repetition, the menacing hum of the overdrive. I love this album.
This is a silly review, but it actually describes the band pretty well.
I can't stand Sunn O))), but I love that album they did with Boris.
This band intrigues the hell out of me.
I haven't listened to anything they've done, but anything that gets a 1 deserves a listen just to see why it's a 1.
Don't get this album.
Thor, get Black One or White2.
trustxdialect, you most likely wouldn't like this band at all.
oh ok glad to know you know what i like. saves me the trouble of deciding for myself.
Save your sarcasm. I made an assumption based on your album ratings.

You shouldn't base anything off reviewers by album ratings (kinda a retarded way to judge a person). People on this site get judged more on their comments and reviews.

I take back my previous comment. I love this now

Interesting review, I liked it...
Sunn O))) has always been one of my least favorite doom bands, never understood the fuss.
i just have one question. Whats with the name
Album Rating: 3.5
They are named after the amps they use, Sunn amps, you dont pronounce the O ) ) ). They were a fairly low cost amp when they were around, but loud as hell. Alot of band that play similar music use them, like Boris, Earth, Growing, and Thrones, at least those are the bands I have seen use them.
I am not a believer of Sunn O))) yet. It's definitely an acquired thing IMO.
Digging: Joyce Manor - Never Hungover Again
I like some of their stuff, but this is just bad.
