I dunno...

Your argument for a band having not 'tried' is a little cliché and weak form of criticism, also the ultimate blandness sentence is a laughable notion.

I can't say this for sure, but it feels almost as if you weren't able to form any kind of opinions before writing about your knee-jerk emotional feelings and preconceptions. Most of the time this kind of reactionary writing makes negative reviews just as overtly ‘predictable’ as the music that is being reviewed.

The album cover makes me think of Assassin's Creed.

I listened to some 30 second previews on youtube, and that's far more than I needed to hear. God is it boring.

Have you listened to this yet, taylormemer? I have a feeling you'd agree with Sowing if you did. It is REALLY bland and ridiculously freaking lazy. And I'm not just saying this because Sowing said he'd shag me.

Have you listened to this yet, taylormemer?

Well, I mean, considering I've rated it...

Or is it in your eyes possible to rate something having not listened to it?

This album has the intelligence of a mentally retarded pit bull and jack russel terrier mix. It sounds like a bulldog chewing a wasp, and I'm pretty sure I've heard a more attractive sound hearing fat people choke on Lay's Chips and stomping their Adidas around

this doesn't read like a 2, js

Ala this is what a good 90% of sputnikmusic's mainstream post-grunge reviews boil down to. It gets so
tiring, and if you're going to pull the same thing over and over again on reviews like this, try to
make it funny or something. Predictable albums don't deserve a predictable review. I haven't read the
review yet, though, and I have no doubts that this is terrible either.

dont be jealous tyrael, you can watch from the corner

and as far as the review being as predictable as the album: you guys are right on. i am actually something of a poet, you see...and this review is a metaphor for the declining status of music criticism in our community. and see, it also works two ways because it is as boring as this album. i always try to make my reviews speak on more than one level, and as for guys like taylormemer, i applaud them for having the literary awareness to pick up on that. right on man, right on.

We've spoken twice, maybe thrice, Irv, though it's as if we've been in some sort of motionless relationship for years now... How can we become closer, do explain.
