"Amarillo Sleeps on my Pillow" is easily my favorite on this. It's a great sound for them.

They really could've left off those last 3 minutes of The Greener Grass. The way it fades out before that would have been so much better. And that brings me back to the first track. Is there anyone who wants to listen to church music before a prog rock album? Doesn't seem like a concept/theme album, so I don't get it.
rest is good

But aren't you? Lol, I kid ;D
At points I kind of hate how typical this all sounds and "Rikki Tikki Tavi" is the worst thing ever, but overall I find the album rather enjoyable. Not as creative and whole feeling as Fables... though. My favorite song, after 3 full listens now, remains "Whiskey & Ritalin." Much like my gripe with the album, this song follows that whole typical alternative rock formula of verse/chorus/verse/chorus/bridge/chorus, but the chorus itself is so infectious and fun. I love the way the piano rolls along with the vocals, almost has a nostalgic feel to it, to me.

Part of why I dislike Rikki Tikki Tavi so much is because of my approach to it. If it's not meant to be taken seriously then it's kind of funny, but even still, the novelty tires.

A solid 4

it's hard for me to enjoy that song even in an ironic manner... contrary to popular belief, there does come a point where something is so mindless in its stupidity that its comedic appeal is negated.

This is absolutely amazing. I had no intention of loving this anywhere near as much as I have. Great review. I would've actually included Karnivool b/c while this basically sounds like what a southern-influenced dredg would've sounded like had they stayed good
