Idunno, the cinematic post-rock screamo stuff and 'the wave' are both two hardcore styles that can be

pretty predictable, so Iselia is sort of a predictable band, but damn this is still good. I wish the

guest vocalist in 'These Roots, These Branches' was part of the band aha.

I wish every song on here wasn't in 3/4 :/

(Me changing my rating from 4.5 to 4 was just enough to put these guys below 4, GUESS THIS ALBUMS NO

GOOD ANYMORE)

The musicianship on this album is fucking amazing. But, the vocals just ruin it for me. Gave it a chance anyway, and after I got past the terrible vocal performance, it's starting to grow on me.

Oh, and another thing, it bothers me how almost every damn song is in the same time signature, and almost the same tempo. I'm willing to get over that, but come on, how hard is 4/4 every once and a while?

Recording of band's new album is on hold 'til March, I think. Shame.

i feel bad for the dude in the iselia shirt who doesn't know what the fuck is going on. i've been in

that position many times when a band covers a song that i haven't heard.

The record's been pushed back for later this year. We're working with our new vocalist and trying to get everything to blend as well as possible. We also have a different drummer. The drums that were done on LFDL were done by our friend Matt who was never in the band. Things are coming along well and there's a lot more variety(yes, this includes time signatures as well).
