No, it's actually Ringo playing the drum solo. He didn't want to at first, but the rest of the Beatles pressured him into doing so. Even then, all he did was copy an Iron Butterfly solo.
I'm pretty sure it was paul

her majesty was intended to be in between mean mr mustard and polythene pam. if anyones interested enough, i mixed together mustard majesty and pam in a back to back to back medley, as was originally intended. you can email me a request for it at flickdiesel12345@yahoo.com if anyone's that passionate about the beatles.

Side B smacks the fuck out of Side A.
and "Golden Slumbers" is probably my favorite Beatles song ever despite being only like a minute and a half long.

Okay yeah. I have yet to hear of this Abbey Road Blues anywhere except for here. Explain.
And "Abbey Road Blues" is probably the heaviest song on the album, with a blues riff and McCartney even screaming the lyrics
This is all we have to go on.

Good review. Good album. This album may be the best work from the best band ever, so waste no time in buying it. Nice job on the tidbit about the crescendo created by the final songs flowing into each other. In my opinion, that is the point that separates this Beatles album from any of their other hit laden affairs.

^This is a great album but I still preffer "Magical Mystery tour" any day. the reason is the mess at the end of the album, why?

I wouldn't consider Her Majesty a great song by any means, but I definetly won't hold it against the album. I'm pretty sure Paul and John were trying to accomplish a feeling of the "falling action," more of a literary device than one found in music. Now that I think of it, that's just another piece of evidence to me that this album is a notch above the others, and that is because of its brilliant structure.

Maxwell's Silver Hammer is a hella good song.
Bang bang! Maxwell's silver hammer came down, upon her head.
Clang clang! Maxwell's silver hammer made sure that she was dead.
Pure awesomeness.

Not sure if I've already posted a response to this review, but I'll say it again: by far the best album ever made. Nothing comes close.

This is one of the albums that I would present to someone who questions if rock is truely art (along with Forever Changes and Quadrophenia). An unbelievably brilliant piece of work that will be revered for years and years to come.
