Man, I haaaated this one at first. People kept saying it was a culmination of everything he's done in his career, so I expected a bit more of "Ocean Machine" or "Terria" in here, but it's nowhere to be found really. But I came around to it. The extended songs annoyed me at first, but the short tracks are really really good. I fucking love Poltergeist.

Wow, who told you that, that's just plain wrong.
It's awesome though, very underrated. And his most consequent work ever imo. It's basically the soundtrack to the desperate try to deconstruct and understand the whole universe. Most people don't seem to get that concept and therefore don't understand why this album is that chaotic something it is.

Well it's like right there in the first sentence of the review. I like it, but the obvious attempts at humor really sour the thing for me. The title song annoys me so much.

Ah, you're right. That's odd. I don't agree with that at all. The album that's closest to that musically might be Ziltoid the Omniscient, but that's also got that weird over the top humor which is kinda hit and miss I guess.
My favorite on here is Sumeria. That's definitely one of the best songs he's ever written.
